At L.I.F.E. Recovery, Training, & Coaching, we believe education is the catalyst for transformation. Our workshops and training programs empower individuals and organizations to tackle pressing social issues, build stronger communities, and create lasting change. Our workshops and trainings are all facilitated from an inclusive perspective. All workshops will cover aspects of diversity and cultural humility.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility (DEIB/A):
Cultivate an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Our DEIB/A workshops address systemic barriers, encourage cultural humility, and provide actionable tools to promote belonging and accessibility in all spaces.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV):
Understanding, preventing, and responding to gender-based violence is critical for fostering safe and supportive environments. Our GBV training equips participants with knowledge, strategies, and resources to support survivors, challenge harmful norms, and advocate for systemic change.
Restorative Justice:
Shift from punitive responses to harm towards solutions that center accountability, healing, and community restoration. Our restorative justice trainings provide participants with the skills and frameworks needed to facilitate meaningful dialogue, rebuild trust, and foster resolution in personal and organizational contexts.
Advocacy and Allyship:
Advocacy and allyship are essential for building equitable systems and supporting marginalized communities. Our training sessions guide participants in recognizing privilege, amplifying underrepresented voices, and taking actionable steps to create change through advocacy.
We facilitate customized trainings for attorneys, social service providers, DV programs, reentry organizations, and educational institutions. Each session is led by Karen Lopez-Rivera, MS — a bilingual, trauma-informed advocate, educator, and expert witness with over a decade of experience supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
Our workshops center the lived experiences of survivors, uplift culturally humble practice, and equip professionals with the tools they need to serve with clarity, ethics, and care.
We’ve trained professionals across sectors, including:
Legal professionals & attorney groups
Domestic violence & sexual assault organizations
Reentry programs & case management teams
Substance use & mental health providers
Campus and K–12 education staff
Social workers, advocates, peer support staff
